The Oneness Symposium was an online webinar event, bringing together scholars from around the world, who shared insights on Oneness.
The presentations were in multiple languages (English, Hebrew, Yiddish), and a variety of sub-themes, all using the "Sefer Ha'Arachim" (Chabad Encyclopedia) as a base and springboard for discussion. Specifically, volumes 8 & 9 which had been recently published who over-arching theme is "Echad" oneness.
The occasion was the "Shloshim" (30th day of mourning) after the passing of legendary scholar and preeminent Chosid and "scribe" of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the iconic Reb Yoel Kahn, of blessed memory.
Reb Yoel was tasked with compiling and editing the Chabad Encyclopedia, by the Rebbe, and he toiled on this project for decades. The last years of his life were devoted to researching and authoring the entry of "Echad" (oneness), to which he dedicated no less than 4 volumes!
To date, three volumes (8,9,10) have been published, featuring a treasure trove of oneness content, with the 4th and final volume in this series pending publication.
Below is the flier of the event, which we hope will become an annual occurrence. We will also endeavor to feature the recordings of the presentations given at the 1st Oneness Symposium.
